We are a new university chapter for the fall of 2020.
I’m Max, a student at Columbia University and Sciences Po. I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of finance and sustainable development — particularly how the wealth of insight provided by data combined with private finance might be used to create conducive ecosystems for innovative and impactful ideas that stand with vulnerable communities. To this end, I’ve supported entrepreneurs in emerging markets in Kenya and Ghana while working in P2P microfinance. I've also worked at venture capital firms, including 500 Startups, where I was exposed to startups changing the way we solve global challenges — from ones addressing the MSME financing gap in Indonesia, to others reviving farming in Southeast Asia through technologically-enabled farming models.
