

About our Chapter
The Global Research and Consulting (GRC) Group is an internationally-oriented educational non-profit with an expansive network of students from universities all over the world. Our mission is to drive global social impact change and empower students to become responsible future leaders, and we have completed over 60 projects with past clients including UNESCO, World Bank, Wikipedia, Oxfam, WWF, and many more.
Founded in January 2021, GRC NTU's founding members have industry experiences across management consulting (McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Kearney), private equity and investment banking (Apollo Global Management, Houlihan Lokey, Partners Group, GIC), and international organisations (World Bank Group, United Nations).

Meet our Team

Megan Sim
Megan has professional experiences in strategy consulting, investments, and international development at organisations such as Boston Consulting Group and the World Bank Group’s IFC. Prior to university, she was a journalist at various current affairs publications and global media & entertainment companies.

David Ian Santoso
Vp of Project Development
David has professional experiences in strategy consulting, investment banking, and startup capital raising at organisations such as McKinsey & Company and Kearney. Prior to university, he interned for various NGOs in Cambodia including World Vision.

Jie Ying has professional experiences within the impact investment and sustainable finance space at organisations such as ING Bank, Cargill, and Enterprise Singapore. On the side, she founded an eco-tourism alliance – Eacanta – that is endorsed by the Malaysian Tourism Board.

Perlyn Chew
Vp of Insights Research & Analytics
Perlyn has professional experiences in software engineering, technology consulting and research at Accenture and A*STAR. She is also highly interested in FinTech and startups. Outside of school, Perlyn is a cybersecurity enthusiast and regularly participates in Capture-the-Flag competitions.

Joel Koh
VP of External Relations
Joel has professional experiences in private equity and investment banking at firms such as Apollo Global Management, Partners Group, and Houlihan Lokey. He was previously a national athlete, representing Team Singapore in regional track and field competitions.
